11 am - FINDING HAPPINESS IN DIFFICULT TIMES

Throughout history, philosophers have searched for the roots of happiness. More recently, positive psychologists have explored the same question using the tools of scientific research. We will explore their findings and how we can apply them to our daily lives. A bibliography will be provided for those wanting to learn more about this fascinating topic.
12 noon - LUNCH ( Please bring your own bag lunch)
1 pm - ENHANCING TOGETHERNESS THROUGH CLAY
(Kathleen Nolan of pequestpottery.com offers hand and wheel
building classes for adults and children, private or small groups)
Description: a one-hour workshop using air-dried clay where participants will form groups and work on a similar project (chosen from 4 different aspects of hand-building with clay)
Participants can share their design amongst others in their group while creating a unique piece of their own.
Choices of projects will be a trinket dish using decoration from nature, an outlined hand that can be shaped as a dish, a small spiritual wall plaque with a written affirmation on a cross, heart, or bird, and finally a pinch pot or coiled votive candle holder.
2:30 pm -CLASSIC HATHA YOGA
A strengthening, yet gentle Yoga class. Includes time for relaxation and breathing. Everyone is encouraged to listen to their body and go at their own pace.
